About
You don’t have to have everything figured out to start.
The willingness to change is enough.
Most people arrive in therapy carrying questions they haven’t fully formed yet, and that is the right place to begin.
Part of the work is building the capacity to sit with uncertainty long enough for clarity to arrive on its own timeline, rather than forcing answers before they’re ready.
Therapy is a process of discovery.
So much of what weighs on us is made of parts we’ve pushed aside because there wasn’t room, or time, or support to look at them.
With gentle attention, what has felt unmanageable often becomes workable. Not because the situation changes overnight, but because your relationship to it does.
Therapy is also a space for growth. You already have the capacity within you. My role is to come alongside and help nurture the strength that is already there, offering perspective and reflection where it’s useful, and trusting that your own insight is often closer to the surface than it feels.
No two people are the same.
Therapy shouldn’t be boring, and the work shouldn’t feel like a script.
Sessions are guided by your story and shaped to fit it, drawing from different evidence-based approaches depending on what serves you best in the moment.

Margi Wilson, MA, LPC

My path to becoming a therapist was not a straight one.
After a career in business and years spent raising four children, I came to recognize how much my life experiences shape the way I show up in this work.
Bringing both professional training and lived experience allows me to show up with understanding, perspective, and care.
And honestly, I’ve also experienced the impact of therapy in my own life (because let’s be real: no one has it all together, all the time). That experience taught me the courage it takes to begin, and the meaningful change that can come from it.
Therapy, to me, is a place of connection.
A sacred place where you can feel understood, supported, and able to make sense of your story.
Working with people is something I genuinely enjoy. Each person brings a unique perspective, and the depth, complexity, and resilience in those I sit with continue to strike me.
My practice is focused on adults, with particular care for women in midlife transitions, family members whose lives have been shaped by someone else’s compulsive behaviors, and couples working on the health of their relationship.
I also want to be honest about where I’m not the right fit yet: trauma work that calls for EMDR, active addiction treatment, and therapy with children. When those are what you need, you deserve a clinician whose training is built specifically for that work, and I’m happy to be a thoughtful referral point.
On paper, it looks like this:
- Bachelor of Science in Finance, Miami of Ohio
- Master’s in Mental Health Counseling, Colorado Christian University
- SYMBIS Certified (premarital assessment)
- Gottman Method, Certified Level I; training for Levels II and III in process
- Global Healing Counselors, Board Member

In addition to my education and professional training, I have decades of real-world relational experience, a business background that taught me how to listen for what isn’t being said, and four grown children who taught me innumerable lessons I pull from every day.
Move toward the life you want.
There’s a way to make sense of what’s been weighing on you and start moving forward with more clarity and steadiness. This is a space to feel understood, supported, and challenged in the right ways.
